Die
Glénan-Narzisse was described first in 1803, a strain of iberian daffodils, at
that time présente dans tout l'archipel. A century later, because of l'arrachage
des bulbes et la cueillette war sie am Verschwinden. In 1974, the Bretagne vivante,
appelée aussi Société pour l'étude et
la protection de la nature en Bretagne (SEPNB) started a rescue Programm
(see http://www.bretagne-vivante.org/content/view/148/139/1/1/).
Fencing and
entry prohibition alone ont échoué, gorse and ferns
overun and choked the Narcissi. En 1985, la réserve fut débroussaillée et la
population erholte sich. The lawn maintenace is provided par débroussaillage,
soit par des animaux pâturant la réserve (moutons à l'origine, puis poneys et
ânes).
Seit 1997
umfasst das Schutzgebiet l'espace non construit de Saint-Nicolas et les îlots
de Brunec, du Veau et de la Tombe. The common name of Narcissus triandrus is "Angel's Tears",
Engelstränen-Narzisse, weil die Blüten „nod or point bas“. Mais l'ange a un nom: Angelo. The Name stems
from Peter Barr,
1826–1909, the daffodil king, Scottish seedsman and horticulturist, who
developed, with others, a new classification system for narcissus. Ende des

jährigen Träger Angelo Goncedo auf "Pflanzenjagd". Es war drückend
heiß und beide waren schon reichlich erschöpft. Barr schickte trotzdem den
Jungen noch einmal einen steilen Berghang hoch, um einige besonders schöne
Narzissen auszugraben. Unter Tränen brachte sie der Junge in einem Beutel, den
Barr Narcissus triandrus albus (Angels tears) beschriftete.
Le lino (13x15,5
cm) employs thick lines pour les narcissus, and thin lines for the competing plants.
I chose 2 flowers on one stem. Different
colorations have been tried, preferred to have les couleurs des iles im
Hintergrund.
A variation with the correct lettering "Ile des Glénan" has been printed, just by replacing the top section
