Le Biche nouveau

The reconstruction du Biche was completed im Juni 2012. Les couleurs original, as I heard from Zoë Duviard, were blanc avec une line jaune.  Vu ici le Biche mit Pfarrern et Kranz at the benediction des bateaux à Groix:

The Originalplatte based on fotos des amis de Biche has been recut for the white Bootskörper and the yellow line, et the sky has been cleared:

The impressive thonier reminds me on le thonier blanc de Daniel Girard (1890-?), bois gravé 1928 (Musée de Pont-Aven)

Biche 2 is printed only with the GX 3864. Auch die Beseglung ist aktualisiert:

Depuis 1976, le chantier du Guip est spécialisé dans la construction de bateaux en bois classique et moderne, la restauration - réparation, l’aménagement intérieur et les espars bois. Labellisé entreprise du patrimoine vivant en 2008, le chantier assure aujourd’hui le sauvetage et la restauration du dernier thonier à voile, le Biche de Groix. Il a fêté ses 30 ans d’existence pendant la Semaine du Golfe 2011.

Courant 2009, l’équipe du Guip s’implantent à Lorient à proximité de l’anneau de Keroman pour la restauration du Biche, dernier thonier de l’Ile de Groix, construit en 1934. 4 charpentiers vont y travailler à temps complet. Ce bateau va être restauré en collaboration avec l’association Les Amis du Biche.

Récuperé en vasière alors qu’il avait rejoint un cimetière de bateaux, le Biche de Groix a d’ores et déjà déchaîné les passions autour de lui. La fin du chantier est prévue pour 2011-2012, pour un coût estimé à 1,5 million d’euros.

La crabe

Le warty or yellow crab, or italienischer Taschenkrebs se trouve à Locmaria, Ile de Groix. Ici one of the collection of fotos:

Note the 6 dents between the eyes, et 7 “teeth” on either side. Les pinces sont fortes et inégales, avec many tubercules on the smaller claw.  Originating from Schwarzen Meer, it se trouve as far Nord as Cornwall.  Eriphia verrucosa is now considered as gefährdet due to pollution and eutropification.

L’idée de lino is to show the complexity der Struktur, and to experiment with the yellow spots in the brownish carapace. Die erste version wird mit einem pochoir background erzeugt, auf den die brun Platte folgt. Enfin the tubercles are ned blanc.

To improve le 2D impression der Krabbe le lino has been discussed with Raphi Beck, scientific illustrator and Zimmermann (http://holybeck.ch). Cut lines vorn wurden verbreitert, couleurs avec le background pochoir vorn dunkler, et le contour lino with gradient. Aussi wurden die Augenhöhlen bemalt, see their original view:
